Registered Massage Therapy:
Includes: Acute, Subacute, and Chronic conditions/injuries, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Postnatal, Relaxation, Suikodo(tm) techniques, Myofascial work, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
Massage is a wonderful therapy that can be as relaxing and rejuvenating as it can be therapeutic and intense, depending entirely on the needs of the client. Massage is the manipulation of the soft tissue of the body. Primarily using pressure, mobilization, and fluidity to increase circulation, decrease pain, and increase a relaxed state for the client to heal. An excellent preventative and complimentary therapy as well as a treatment for both acute and chronic pain. The client is encouraged to give the therapist feedback about the treatment as it progresses in order to create clear lines of communication.
Reiki*:
Reiki means "universal life force". The practitioner will use the Chakras of the body to channel healing energy on behalf of the client, acting as a link between the client and the Reiki energy. Excellent for restoration, cleasning, and connection. Reiki is wonderful for those days you just feel stuck, overwhelmed, or just need something but aren't really sure what it is you need.
Reflexology*:
Reflexology originally came out of the study of zone therapy, with the idea that working in one zone of the body will affect everything within that zone. Through the manipulation of the reflex points on the feet, the reflexologist is able to use the peripheral nerve system to influence the parasympathetic nervous system. Causing the body to relax and the organs, glands, and structures of the body. It is incredibly effective for those issues relating to organs and glands that are normally difficult influence. It is also a great support for other therapies that primarily target organs, like traditional Eastern and Western Medicine. It is also excellent if you just need to relax.
